Responsibilities:
The Head of Product Management is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining and driving the company’s product vision, product roadmap, and portfolio performance. This leader will oversee the Product Management team and collaborate with executive leadership, development, production, marketing, and external IP partners to ensure each product delivers exceptional player value, market differentiation, and long-term profitability.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the end-to-end product strategy across Aspyr’s portfolio from ideation and greenlight through launch
- Own and drive multi-year franchise and product roadmaps aligned with corporate goals, market opportunities, and licensor strategies
- Build and lead a high-performing product team while coaching and mentoring Product Managers at all levels
- Partner closely with Production and Development leadership to ensure vision is executable, appropriately scoped, and optimized for delivery
- Serve as the primary voice for product vision and market fit in executive strategy sessions, greenlight reviews, and go-to-market planning
- Collaborate with licensors and first-party partners to align on IP vision, brand standards, and release planning
- Oversee product performance tracking and analytics, driving portfolio decisions based on data, player insights, and business performance
- Champion player-centric design principles across the organization
- Represent Aspyr in external communications when appropriate, including investor or partner briefings and public-facing commentary
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Game Design, Marketing, or a related field; MBA a plus
- 12 + years of experience in product management or publishing roles within the video game industry
- 5 + years of experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams
- Proven success delivering and growing commercially successful video game franchises
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to synthesize complex market, product, and partner inputs into actionable roadmaps
- Deep understanding of the full product lifecycle including opportunity assessment, development, go-to-market, and monetization
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills across creative, technical, and executive teams
- Experience working with licensed IPs and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with console and PC game markets, platform-holder expectations, and evolving monetization models
- Strong grasp of KPIs including player retention, engagement, monetization, and customer sentiment
- Passion for gaming and a deep respect for both the art and business of making games
