Job Description

Philips is seeking a Health Systems Sales Leader and Country Manager for Malaysia. This role involves developing and implementing national sales strategies, leading a district sales team, and managing the yearly business plan to meet financial targets. The successful candidate will build strong customer relationships, ensure compliance, and drive talent development. This position requires a customer-first attitude, strong leadership, and commercial management experience to tackle evolving health and well-being needs.
Must Have:
  • Responsible for creation and implementation of the national sales and distribution strategy and the Sales Plan, including sales forecasts and AOP.
  • Lead district sales team, works together with operations and marketing, as well and product specialist in the Market.
  • Develop and drive credibility and long-term relationship with top customers and key decision makers in the district.
  • Responsible for execution and management of the yearly business plan of the district.
  • Meet or exceed sales, volumes, order intake, and financial target including direct cost management.
  • Responsible for the monthly district business review meetings.
  • Deal approval, approve multimodality within pricing framework and ensure escalation for deals outside pricing framework.
  • Provide regular feedback about market development and competitive situation.
  • Escalation management.
  • Ensure un-compromised implementation of standard Philips business processes, quality standards and standards of business conduct.
  • Responsible for compliance performance within the district and for reporting compliance issues.
  • People management, including selection, development, goal setting and performance management.
  • Ensures overall high level of talent and engagement levels.
  • Leading, directing, and motivating the sales team to achieve predefined sales volume and profit goals.
  • Daily demonstration of the highest level of Philips Leadership competencies and 5 behaviors.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Holder in related disciplines.
  • Minimum 8-10 Years’ Experience in relevant fields.
  • Proven leadership qualities and track record for building and managing new functions and high performing teams.
  • Proven relevant commercial management (PnL) experience.
  • Excellent time management skills, autonomy, self-direction, with 'Positive and Can-Do' attitude.
  • An ideas genius, not afraid to speak up and challenge the status quo, continuously seeking innovation.
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to take ownership and multitask in a fast paced and challenging environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in managing diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to influence all levels of stakeholders.

The responsibilities

Sales & Commercial

  • Responsible for creation and implementation of the national sales and distribution strategy and the Sales Plan, including sales forecasts and AOP.

  • Develop and drive credibility and long-term relationship with top customers and key decision makers in the district, to fulfil long-term sales objectives.
  • Responsible for execution and management of the yearly business plan of the district.
  • Meet or exceed sales, volumes, order intake, and financial target including direct cost management.
  • Responsible for the monthly district business review meetings: sales, volumes, order intake, sales, forecast, price realization, Cost of Organization (CoO), customer complaints, escalations and supply chain
  • Deal approval, approve multimodality within pricing framework and ensure escalation for deals outside pricing framework.
  • Provide regular feedback about market development and competitive situation
  • Escalation management

LTO

  • Ensure un-compromised implementation of the standard Philips business processes, quality standards and standards of business conduct according to Philips policies.
  • Responsible for compliance performance within the district and for reporting compliance issues quality & regulatory functions (for management review purposes) at regional level.

Leadership & Behaviors

  • People management, including selection, development, goal setting and performance management.
  • Ensures overall high level of talent and engagement levels. Leading, directing, and motivating the sales team in order to achieve the predefined sales volume and profit goals.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s Degree Holder in related disciplines.
  • Minimum 8-10 Years’ Experience in relevant fields.

  • Proven relevant commercial management (PnL) experience.
