This role advocates the innovative power of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for Public Sector healthcare and health research in APAC. The Healthcare Lead will represent Google Cloud within the APAC region, engaging with customers, policymakers, and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities include identifying and nurturing new business opportunities, coaching business teams, shaping regional strategy, and collaborating with partners. A deep understanding of APAC's regulatory environment, particularly concerning privacy, security, and public sector procurement, is crucial. The role requires influencing stakeholders across a matrix organization, building the local organization and driving execution.
Must have:
  • 10+ years in government, cybersecurity, public safety, and intelligence
  • Business development experience managing multiple projects
  • Experience building partner ecosystems (ISVs, technology partners)
  • Cross-functional stakeholder alignment and leadership
  • Knowledge of IT and Cloud Computing principles
Good to have:
  • Technology, innovation, product management, consulting experience
  • Experience driving change in large organizations
  • Leading large tender processes
  • Motivating business transformation
  • Excellent communication, writing, presentation, and problem-solving skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in government, cybersecurity, public safety and intelligence sectors.
  • Experience in business development roles, managing multiple, evolving projects in parallel.
  • Experience in building scalable partner ecosystems with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and technology partners.
  • Experience partnering across a global organization and aligning multiple cross-functional executive stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in technology, technology innovation, product management, and management consulting.
  • Experience in enabling and driving change within large organizations.
  • Experience in leading large tender processes.
  • Experience in motivating business transformation.
  • Knowledge of principles of Information Technology and Cloud Computing.
  • Excellent communication, writing, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

In this role, you will advocate the innovative power of the products to enable companies in the Public Sector segment to reach their full potential with Google Cloud Platform, in the domains of Public Healthcare and Health Research. You will represent Google Cloud Public Sector business across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region in these domains, both internally across various Google Product Areas and externally within the market. You will lead and manage by influence across a matrix organization, with internal key stakeholders including sub region teams, global public sector (PS) team, one Google partnership teams.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to identify, generate, and nurture new business opportunities, and influence policymakers in government healthcare.
  • Operate as a leader and influencer in the sectors, elevating Google Cloud's reputation in the market. Coach, guide, and support business teams to generate and close new opportunities.
  • Work with the Google Cloud leadership team at regional level to shape the strategy, build the local organization and drive execution. Engage with Google Cloud partner organization to identify and goal for these sectors and drive aligned execution for joint success.
  • Understand key aspects of the regulatory environment across APAC including the evolving regulation on privacy, security, sovereignty as well as the rules and mechanisms for public sector procurement. Provide insight from customers and partners to influence the strategy.
