Responsibilities include developing and executing a go-to-market strategy, identifying growth opportunities, collaborating with product teams, engaging with healthcare organizations, driving revenue growth, and collaborating with internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare compliance requirements, workforce trends, and background screening best practices.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Healthcare Vertical Strategist to lead and expand our footprint in the healthcare background screening space. This role is pivotal in driving growth, creating tailored strategies, and positioning our solutions to address the unique compliance and operational challenges of the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare compliance requirements, workforce trends, and background screening best practices, combined with strong strategic, operational, and market analysis skills.


Responsibilities

Vertical Strategy Development:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for the healthcare vertical, aligning with the organization’s broader business goals.
  • Identify key growth opportunities within the healthcare sectors, including hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and allied health organizations, etc.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and industry regulations to inform strategic initiatives.

Product and Service Optimization:
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to refine and tailor background screening, drug testing, and fingerprinting solutions specific to healthcare needs.
  • Advocate for compliance-aligned innovations to address industry regulations such as Joint Commission standards, CMS requirements, and other healthcare-specific mandates.

Customer Engagement & Market Expansion:
  • Build relationships with healthcare organizations, industry associations, and strategic partners to establish thought leadership and trust.
  • Develop tailored solutions that resonate with healthcare organizations’ workforce screening challenges, including large-scale hiring and compliance management.
  • Partner with marketing to design targeted campaigns and events to raise brand visibility and capture market share.

Revenue Growth & Business Development:
  • Drive net-new revenue and market share growth within the healthcare vertical, aiming to exceed defined growth targets.
  • Partner with sales teams to support RFP responses, key client presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Identify and nurture channel partnerships and alliances within the healthcare ecosystem to expand reach.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Act as the voice of the healthcare vertical, providing insights and guidance to internal stakeholders, including sales, product, marketing, and compliance teams.
  • Represent the organization in healthcare industry events, conferences, and advisory boards to showcase expertise and gain market intelligence.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare strategy, business development, or market expansion, preferably within background screening, workforce compliance, or HR technology sectors.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare industry regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS, HIPAA).
  • Familiarity with healthcare hiring and onboarding processes, including credentialing, drug screening, and fingerprinting.
  • Proven ability to craft and execute vertical-specific strategies that drive revenue growth.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Analytical mindset with a track record of identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities in complex markets.
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills, with a history of cross functional team management


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with healthcare technology, compliance software, or HR platforms.
  • Established network within the healthcare ecosystem, including providers, associations, or industry influencers.
  • Familiarity with background screening and compliance trends in the healthcare sector.


$122,000 - $183,400 a year
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $122,000 - $183,400. Pay will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and relevant education and training.  This position may also be eligible for an annual performance-based bonus, commission, or other variable pay plan.
