Job Description

As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, including bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical, Digital/Analog/RF/optical, equipment, packaging, test, FPGA, and DSP systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop solutions, meet performance requirements, and contribute to cutting-edge, world-class products. The position requires a strong understanding of physical synthesis, timing closure, low-power design, and scripting languages like Perl, Python, and TCL.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Synthesis and LEC.
  • Strong understanding of Physical Synthesis and Synthesis methodologies with leading industry standard tools.
  • Experience with writing timing constraints for synthesis, STA, timing closure and pipelining at different levels for performance optimization and timing closure.
  • Experience in all aspects of timing closure for multi-clock domain designs.
  • Familiarity with MCMM synthesis and optimization.
  • Good understanding of low-power design implementation using UPF.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, TCL.
  • Experience with different power optimization flows or techniques such as clock gating.
  • Ability to work independently with design, DFT and PD team for netlist delivery, timing constraints validation.
  • Ability to handle ECOs and formal verification and maintain high quality matrix.
  • Proficiency in Python/Tcl.
  • Familiarity with Synthesis tools (Fusion Compiler/Genus).
  • Knowledge in LEC, LP signoff tools.
  • Proficiency in VLSI front end design steps: Verilog/VHDL, Synthesis, QoR optimization & Equivalence Checking.
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with standard software engineering practices like Version Control, Configuration Management, Regression.
