Job Description

The ICT Lead will be an experienced ICT Professional responsible for managing and overseeing the deployment of on-premises infrastructure, cloud-based services, and end-to-end cybersecurity design and authorization processes. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of secure ICT environments to ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and compliant systems. Responsibilities include leading the planning, design, and implementation of physical ICT infrastructure, overseeing installation and configuration of on-prem environments, ensuring ICT systems meet security policies and regulatory requirements, and collaborating with vendors and stakeholders for hardware procurement. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT or Computer Science, with strong experience in ICT infrastructure deployment (on-prem and cloud), cloud platform implementation (AWS or Azure), and knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards. The role involves ad-hoc domestic and possible international travel.

About This Role

                                                                                                         

The ICT Lead will be an experienced ICT Professional and will be driven to manage and oversee the deployment of on-premises infrastructure, cloud-based services and the end-to-end cybersecurity design and authorisation process.

This role will require strong technical expertise, leadership skills and a deep understanding of secure ICT environments to ensure the delivery of robust, scalable and compliant systems.

The role we are offering you

  • Lead the planning, design and implementation of physical ICT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking and virtualisation platforms
  • Oversee installation, configuration and maintenance of on-prem environments ensuring performance, resilience and scalability
  • Ensure ICT systems meet organisational security policies and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to coordinate hardware procurement and deployment

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Ideally hold a Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong experience in ICT Infrastructure deployment, including on-prem and cloud environments
  • Proven experience in cloud platform implementation, ideally being AWS or Azure
  • Solid knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, authorisation processes and compliance standards

Location:

  • Homebush, NSW
  • We operate a hybrid working approach.
  • Your role will involve some ad-hoc domestic and possible international travel

Security requirements

As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
