Apple Inc is seeking an Image/Sensor/Power Architecture Engineer in Cupertino, California, and various unanticipated locations across the USA. The role involves designing, architecting, and developing display hardware for consumer electronics. Key responsibilities include envisioning novel ideas for power efficiency, integrating them with other subsystems, performing detailed technical analysis, and bridging the gap between theory and implementable hardware. The engineer will develop test and methodology specifications for pre/post silicon tape-out, establish performance metrics, define electrical hardware architecture including system and panel interfaces, silicon partitioning, integration with other subsystems, power on/off sequencing, display timing, connectivity, and communication flows between ICs. The position requires analyzing trade-offs between performance, manufacturability, and cost, delivering high-quality documentation, and preparing presentations. Exploring new display technologies from electrical architecture, integration, and feasibility standpoints is also a core part of the job. The role is for 40 hours/week.
