Job Description

The Technical Architect defines and drives infrastructure strategy, architecture, and roadmap, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions aligned with business needs. This senior role involves collaborating with leadership, engineering, and operations to design solutions, establish standards, and oversee transformation initiatives across compute, storage, networking, security, and cloud. Responsibilities include technical escalation, deep-dive troubleshooting, leading upgrades, driving process improvements, and providing technical leadership for large-scale projects like cloud migrations and automation.
Must Have:
  • Define and drive the overall infrastructure strategy, architecture, and roadmap.
  • Ensure infrastructure solutions are scalable, secure, cost-effective, and aligned with business needs.
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for critical incidents and cross-domain issues.
  • Perform deep-dive troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and long-term fixes for recurring problems.
  • Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and complex changes across compute, storage, network, and cloud environments.
  • Work closely with L3 and architecture teams on solution design, providing operational insights and recommendations.
  • Drive process improvements and establish advanced SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge-sharing documents.
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to enforce governance and risk mitigation.
  • Engage with vendors for escalations, patch management, and advanced product support.
  • Contribute to capacity planning, performance benchmarking, and cost optimization efforts.
  • Provide technical leadership for large-scale projects such as cloud migrations, data center consolidations, and automation initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders (business, application, security, operations) to align infrastructure with organizational strategy.
  • Conduct technology assessments, PoCs, and vendor evaluations to recommend best-fit solutions.
  • Mentor and provide technical direction to L1–L2 teams.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects and solution architects to ensure infrastructure supports application and business requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science/Electronics (preferred) or equivalent diploma.
  • Strong skillset in one or more of Splunk, Zabbix, AppDynamics, Solarwinds, Azure Tool, Integrations API Automation.
  • 8-12 years of progressive infrastructure experience, with 3–5 years in solution/technical architecture.
  • Deep expertise across multiple domains: compute (Windows/Linux), virtualization, networking, storage/backup, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), and security.
  • Strong background in solution design, systems integration, and enterprise IT strategy.
  • Proficiency in automation and orchestration (Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps practices).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes, governance, and enterprise operations.
  • Ability to balance innovation with operational stability and cost efficiency.
  • Ability to work rotational shifts, including night shifts, to provide 24/7 application support.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as per shift schedule.
  • Ability to handle responsibilities independently during off-hours.

Scope:

As a senior technical authority, the Technical Architect collaborates with leadership, engineering, and operations teams to design solutions, establish standards, and oversee major transformation initiatives across compute, storage, networking, security, and cloud environments.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as the technical escalation point for critical incidents and cross-domain issues.
