Job Description

Manages and coordinates the necessary activities to both optimize existing processes and participate in the industrialization of new products at the plant. Responsible for short-, medium-, and long-term analysis and planning to ensure the effective use of current resources (personnel, materials, machines), the required capacity to meet customer demand, and the early definition of necessary investment if required.
Must have:
  • Manage and coordinate activities to optimize existing processes and industrialize new products.
  • Perform short-, medium-, and long-term capacity analysis and planning.
  • Lead process optimization (Kaizen) and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead Production Capacity Studies (MRR/CB1).
  • Participate in developing a 5-year vision for Capacity, Workforce, and Plant Layout Transformation.
  • Support costing of new products and update cost routes.
  • Coordinate definition of operating methods, work standards, and process improvements.
  • Responsible for Line Balancing and optimizing resources (space, materials, personnel, equipment).
  • Propose process improvements to eliminate waste (MUDA, MURI, MURA).
  • Evaluate personnel safety through ergonomic risk monitoring.
  • Support Personnel Safety and Environmental Protection activities.
  • Coordinate documentation of Work Instructions for safe, standardized, and optimized work.
  • Completed University Degree (preferably Industrial Engineering or similar).
  • Be Bilingual English/Spanish (90%).

Job Details

Manages and coordinates the necessary activities to both optimize existing processes and participate in the industrialization of new products at the plant. Responsible for short-, medium-, and long-term analysis and planning to ensure the effective use of current resources (personnel, materials, machines), the required capacity to meet customer demand, and the early definition of necessary investment if required.

My Role:

  • Design, optimization, coordination, and industrialization of Manufacturing Processes under the guidelines of Lean Manufacturing System Design (MSD)
  • Short-, medium-, and long-term Capacity Analysis and Planning
  • Leader in process optimization (Kaizen) and Continuous Improvement
  • Leads Production Capacity Studies (MRR/CB1)
  • Participates in the development of a 5-year vision for Capacity, Workforce, and Plant Layout Transformation
  • Supports costing of new products and updates cost routes for existing ones
  • Coordinates the definition of operating methods and work standards, as well as improvements to current processes based on customer requirements and process measurements
  • Responsible for Line Balancing and the optimization of space, materials, personnel, and equipment in accordance with customer requirements and process improvements
  • Proposes process improvements to eliminate waste (MUDA, MURI, MURA) and coordinates with other support teams
  • Evaluates personnel safety through ergonomic risk monitoring
  • Recognizes and supports activities related to Personnel Safety and Environmental Protection
  • Coordinates the documentation of Work Instructions that clearly specify the process method to perform the work in a safe, standardized, and optimized manner

My Background:

  • Completed University Degree (preferably Industrial Engineering or similar)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (90%)
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Ability to work in a team, make decisions, and provide leadership
  • Analytical skills for problem-solving, identifying opportunities, and continuous improvement
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Experience in personnel management
  • Experience with continuous improvement tools and lean manufacturing (5S, KAIZEN, JIT, VSM, TPM, POKAYOKE, KANBAN)
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and concepts
  • Understanding of activity-based costing systems for manufacturing operations
  • Proficiency in computer tools and data analysis (Excel, MS Power BI, Office, etc.)
  • Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, BrisCAD) and simulation tools (SIMCAD, FlexSIM, TECNOMATIX)
