Join Aptiv’s dynamic team as a Test Engineer for New Product Introduction (NPI) and play a key role in launching innovative automotive products. Aptiv designs and manufactures Infotainment, Advanced Safety, and Cockpit Electronics systems for leading OEMs worldwide. You’ll work with the Manufacturing Development Team to develop and implement test solutions for the introduction of new products.

Key Responsibilities
- Support workshops to develop manufacturing and testing strategies.
- Define and document technical requirements for test equipment (HW/SW).
- Lead equipment specification (SOW), sourcing, and qualification processes.
- Evaluate supplier proposals using scorecards (cost, quality, lead time).
- Track project execution using Gantt charts and monitor supplier progress.
- Apply Six Sigma tools (CPK, GR&R, multi-vari charts) for equipment validation.
- Participate in the development and optimization of functional manufacturing tests in collaboration with PDT design experts.
- Develop and maintain APQP documentation, including calibration plans, PM schedules, software validation protocols, and control plans to ensure traceability, audit readiness, and compliance with automotive quality standards.
- Ensure installation, debugging, and release of test equipment prior to the Product Validation (PV) phase
- Apply Six Sigma to improve FTQ and OEE through statistical analysis and defect reduction.
- Deliver equipment training to support test engineers, no later than the Product Validation phase.
- Collaborate on test coverage analysis and request design changes to ensure full testability.
- Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and productivity.
- Support cross-site and cross-product line sharing of lessons learned to drive continuous improvement and knowledge transfer.
- Review and ensure compliance with Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, and customer-specific test requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in test engineering within the automotive/electronics industry.
- Proficiency in NI LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, TestStand, C/C++.
- Experience in intelligent vision system.
- Knowledge of CAN, LIN, LVDS, FlexRay, BroadR-Reach.
- Solid understanding of Six Sigma and statistical methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Energetic, self-driven, and proactive approach to work.
- Fluent in English; able to work in a global, cross-functional environment.
Technical Strengths
- Interpretation of schematics and block diagrams.
- Understand and evaluate electronic components (passive and active) and their behavior in test environments.
- Experience with ATE, fixture design, and debugging.
- Skilled in debugging and troubleshooting test failures at both hardware and software levels.
- Familiarity with test coverage analysis tools and methodologies.
- Understanding of DFT (Design for Testability) principles and their application in product development.
- Experience with data acquisition systems and product traceability.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity in test systems.
- Skilled in root cause analysis (5 Whys, Ishikawa, Pareto).
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to resolve test-related issues during NPI and mass production phases.
