Job Description

The role involves administering Windows OS and Active Directory components, with experience in Windows Server 2008, 2012, and 2016. Responsibilities include managing Microsoft Hyper-V environments, Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022), and understanding virtualization, networking, and system performance optimization. The candidate should be familiar with Failover Clustering, Live Migration, Storage Spaces Direct, and monitoring tools like System Center VMM. Knowledge of VMWare Data Center virtualization, networking concepts, storage infrastructure, and DNS support is also required. Automation experience with PowerShell, Chef, or Python is a plus, along with basic understanding of Amazon Web Services and Cisco UCS hardware. Experience with SSL/TLS Certificates, OS performance troubleshooting, security standards, and various protocols (CIFS, NFS, FTP, SFTP, FTPS, HTTP/HTTPS) is expected. The role requires strong teamwork, communication, documentation skills, and the ability to work in 24/7 rotational shifts with on-call support. Candidates must possess excellent troubleshooting, decision-making, analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills, with limited supervision and flexibility to handle competing demands. Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences is crucial. Experience with F5 BIGIP, Splunk, Microsoft Windows Server and ITIL certifications, scripting languages, Horizon VDI, and relevant cloud certifications (AWS, VMware Cloud on AWS) are beneficial. A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience in a major global organization is required.

Job Details

Technical Skills and Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 Years of Windows OS Administration and AD components experience

  • Good knowledge and troubleshooting of Windows OS 2008, 2012 & 2016

  • Strong understanding of MS Windows OS, DNS, DHCP and AD Infra.

  • Proven experience (3–5+ years) administering Microsoft Hyper-V environments in enterprise settings.

  • in-depth experience with Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Server environments, and a strong understanding of virtualization, networking, and system performance optimization.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 administration.

  • Deep understanding of virtual networking, storage integration, Live Migration, Dynamic Memory, and Shielded VMs.

  • Familiarity with Failover Clustering, Live Migration, and Storage Spaces Direct.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as System Center VMM

  • Good understanding of VMWare Data Center virtualization and its related components.

  • Good understanding of Networking Concepts and Storage infrastructure.

  • Internal and External DNS support experience

  • Experience of automation using PowerShell, chef or Python

  • Basic understanding on Amazon web services

  • Good knowledge of Cisco UCS & other Server Hardware components.

  • Conceptual knowledge of UCS profiling & VMware upgrades & updates.

  • Good knowledge & experience on SSL/TLS Certificates handling.

  • Troubleshooting experience on OS performance issues

  • Experience of security standards, best practices, and principles

  • Good understanding of CIFS, NFS, FTP, SFTP, FTPS & HTTP/HTTPS protocols.

  • Excellent teamwork and organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to handle and lead multiple tasks

  • Excellent communication and documentation skill.

  • Ready to work in 24*7 rotational shift along with weekend on-call incident and DR drill support for products.

  • Candidates should have a solid understanding of networking fundamentals

  • Basic capacity management skills along with forecasting of future roadblocks.

  • Candidate should have excellent troubleshooting skills.

  • Good Team player, able to work and interact with others in a structured/team environment.

  •  Independent problem solver with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical skills.

  •  Requires limited supervision, self-starter, strong time management skills.

  •  Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands.

  •  Demonstrated ability to communicate to nontechnical audience on technical issues.
