Must have:
  • Ensure presses operate efficiently and meet production standards.
  • Troubleshoot molding machines to bring parts into specifications.
  • Develop and maintain standard operator instructions and process set-up sheets.
  • Help develop all mold operators.
  • Process a variety of engineering type materials (PVC, ABS, PC, PP, Noryl, Flame retardant ABS, Flame retardant PC Valox).
  • Participate in developing action plans to resolve problems with safety, quality, production, delivery and 5S.
  • Prepare maintenance work orders and ensure compliance with Preventive Maintenance programs.
  • Document improvements and problems with molds, presses, secondary, etc.
  • Perform all duties associated with changing injection molds (material set up, mold change, set process to black book, and inspect parts for quality adherence).
  • Actively participate in the 5S program.

We have an opportunity for an Injection Molding Process Tech to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring injection molding presses operate efficiently and meet production standards by troubleshooting machines and adjusting processes to maintain part quality.

You will:

  • Ensure presses are started and running to standard process and trouble shoot those not up to standards.
  • Trouble shoot molding machines to bring parts into specifications. for size, appearance, flash, splay, cycle time, etc .
  • Develop and maintain standard operator instructions and process set-up sheets.
  • Help develop all mold operators.
  • Be able to process a variety of engineering type materials, which includes but is not limited to: PVC, ABS, PC, PP, Noryl, Flame retardant ABS, and Flame retardant PC Valox.
  • Participate in developing action plans to resolve problems with safety, quality, production, delivery and 5S.
  • Prepare maintenance work orders and ensure compliance with Preventive Maintenance programs.
  • Document improvements and problems with molds, presses, secondary, etc.
  • Must be capable and willing to perform all duties associated with changing injection molds (material set up, mold change, set process to black book, and inspect parts for quality adherence)
  • Actively participate in the 5S program.

Key Qualifications:

  • 2-7 years of experience in plastic processing of molding machines.
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Strong plastic processing skills
  • Computer literate
  • Basic management skills
  • Problem solving techniques
  • Strong organizational

Shift Hours:

Shift starts on Sun through Thursday plus OT and Weekends when needed

10:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated hourly base pay will be $31.00 per hour plus 8% of shift premium. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with a demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
