Job Description

Pentair is seeking a Maintenance Team Lead for its Moorpark, CA team. This role involves leading daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed safely and on time, and driving continuous improvement using Lean methodology. The lead will promote a safe work environment, track shift performance, manage inventory, coordinate staffing, and conduct various audits. Responsibilities also include fostering team skill development and supporting employee performance and policy compliance.
Must have:

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodology.
  • Track shift performance using MDI boards and lead root cause analysis.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and support safety investigations.
  • Manage inventory movement, maintenance reporting, and audit resolution.
  • Coordinate staffing needs, including training, attendance, vacation, and overtime.
  • Conduct 5S, safety, process, and quality audits regularly.
  • Ensure effective communication across shifts and teams.
  • Support employee development, performance reviews, and policy compliance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance or industrial tech roles.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices (OSHA Right-to-Know, PPE, fire safety, LOTO, hot work).
  • Ability to support maintenance tasks: read blueprints/schematics, troubleshoot and repair systems, perform PMs, and operate tools.
  • Experience with PLCs, robotics programming, and Smart Maintenance CMMS.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in at least five technical areas (e.g., DC/AC electricity, hydraulics, AutoCAD, injection molding).

We have an opportunity for a Team Lead to join our team. You will lead and support daily operations within the department, ensuring tasks are completed safely, professionally, and on time. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodology, including Kaizen events and value stream mapping. You will promote a clean, safe work environment and facilitate shift change communication and performance tracking.

You will:

  • Oversee daily team activities and ensure tasks are completed safely and on time.
  • Promote skill development and job knowledge growth among team members.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodology.
  • Track shift performance using MDI boards and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and support safety investigations as needed.
  • Manage inventory movement, maintenance reporting, and audit resolution within assigned areas.
  • Coordinate staffing needs, including training, attendance, vacation, and overtime coverage.
  • Conduct 5S, safety, process, and quality audits regularly.
  • Ensure effective communication across shifts and teams through proper documentation.
  • Support employee development, performance reviews, and policy compliance.

Key Qualifications:

  • Full ability to read and communicate in English.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance or industrial tech roles.
  • Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs.), and reach regularly.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices (OSHA Right-to-Know, PPE, fire safety, LOTO, hot work).
  • Ability to support maintenance tasks: read blueprints/schematics, troubleshoot and repair systems, perform PMs, and operate tools.
  • Experience with PLCs, robotics programming, and Smart Maintenance CMMS.
  • Completed or demonstrated knowledge in at least five technical areas (e.g., DC/AC electricity, PLCs, hydraulics, AutoCAD, injection molding).
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to build positive relationships across teams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
  • Steel-toed footwear required.

Compensation:

  • The hourly pay for this role is $27.00 – $51.00/hour, DOE. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with a demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.

Shift:

  • 1st Shift: staggered start times (approximately 7am-4pm)
  • Overtime and weekends required as needed.
