The Walt Disney World Food & Beverage / Merchandise Insights Optimization and Analytics team provides insights through data to drive strategic business decisions, develops dashboards and metrics, and collaborates across the organization to implement projects and initiatives. The Planning Manager will integrate and oversee projects, create compelling stories, engage with partners, and drive critical initiatives for the Walt Disney World Food & Beverage and Merchandise businesses.
You will have a high level of proficiency in developing strategic business cases, influencing senior leaders, demonstrating project management/integration skills, and a deep understanding of the Food & Beverage and Merchandise Operations business. You will be responsible for effectively driving various projects simultaneously while meeting or exceeding identified timelines and deliverables.
This position will report to the Sr. Manager of Food & Beverage / Merchandise Business Insights and Analytics.
You Will:
Drive and deliver strategies for long-term growth in agreed-upon timelines
Collaborate with stakeholders to assess needs, define scope, create project plans, and develop impactful content for presentations and meetings
Create and deliver data-driven insights through storytelling and clear, concise communications for Senior Executives
Work directly with Operations leaders and other partners to identify revenue-generating and cost-saving opportunities, processes, and strategies to achieve them
Collaborate and communicate with all other LOB planning and project managers to ensure work is connected and aligned
Promote a culture of teamwork, creativity, inclusion, and innovation while driving accountability for results
You Have:
Worked for Disney’s Food & Beverage operations and can demonstrate an understanding of how operations, LOB (Line of Business), and key partner work are interrelated
Demonstrated project management experience
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire others through an overarching vision, guiding results by leveraging creative sensibilities, strong business acumen, and strategic thinking
Experience developing and delivering business analytics through professional storytelling
Strong planning, written and verbal communication, and time management skills
Proven skills in partnering, influencing, and collaborating with leaders across all levels
Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a strong systems/process orientation
Ability to transform complex ideas into actionable outcomes
Experience building compelling business cases tied to measurable metrics
Strong attention to detail and ability to assess work interdependencies and forecast impacts
Capability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and projects independently, while balancing competing priorities and adjusting to a rapidly changing business environment
Commitment to delivering quality results and understanding business impacts
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Teamwork, Asana, Workfront, Monday, etc.)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
