Job Description

The Inspector Technician Electronic will test, diagnose, and inspect various electronic, electrical, and electromechanical parts to ensure compliance with specifications. This role also involves providing technical support to internal and external customers. Candidates should possess a D.E.C. in Electro-Technology or equivalent, with 1-2 years of relevant experience. Key skills include knowledge of electronic schematics, printed circuit boards, measuring instruments, commercial and military standards, and occupational health and safety standards. Proficiency in Windows and functional knowledge of French and English are required.
Must have:
  • Test, diagnose and inspect all types of electronic, electrical and electromechanical parts to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
  • Possess knowledge of drawings, electronic schematics and technical notes.
  • Possess knowledge of printed circuit boards, measuring instruments and tools.
  • Be familiar with commercial and military standards and with aerospace industry material standards.
  • Be familiar with occupational health and safety standards, especially WHMIS.
  • Master the use of Windows.
  • Be a member of the Union.
  • Have functional knowledge of French and English.
  • Have a D.E.C. in Electro-Technology or equivalent.
  • Have one to two years of relevant experience.
Good to have:
  • A valid certification in soldering rework of all CAE products is preferable.

About This Role

Academic and Professional Qualifications: D.E.C. in Electro-Technology. A valid certification in soldering rework of all CAE products is preferable. Furthermore, the use of Windows must be mastered. Any other equivalent combination of the required qualifications will be considered. The candidates will be submitted to a written exam.

Job Profile: The candidates must test, diagnose and inspect all types of electronic, electrical and electromechanical parts to verify compliance with specifications as well as provide technical support to internal and external customers according to the conditions, criteria and details required for the position.

Skills: The candidates must principally demonstrate the following skills:

  • Possess knowledge of drawings, electronic schematics and technical notes.
  • Possess knowledge of printed circuit boards, measuring instruments and tools.
  • Be familiar with commercial and military standards and with aerospace industry material standards.
  • Be familiar with occupational health and safety standards, especially WHMIS.

Practical Experience: One (1) to two (2) years of relevant experience.

Selection: The candidates selected to fill the vacancies will be chosen on the basis of their seniority provided that they are willing, that they meet the requirements of the posting and that they are able to perform the work relating to the position satisfactorily. The candidates must be members of the Union. Functional knowledge of French and English is required.
