Cadence Design Systems Inc. is seeking a motivated Application Engineering Intern for the Silicon-Package-Board (SPB) team in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. This role involves training on Cadence's tool set for high-speed PCB design, advanced package design, and electrical constraints. The intern will help develop innovative solutions for customers, benchmark product capabilities, advocate best practices, and collaborate with sales and product teams globally.

As an Application Engineer Intern, you will be part of the Silicon-Package-Board (SPB) team of the System & Design Analysis group. The SPB team works with the Allegro X and Allegro X Advanced Package Designer platforms.

Job Description:
- The Candidate will be trained on the Cadence tool set, in the context of multiple flows including high speed printed circuit board (PCB) design, advanced package design and electrical constraints definition.
- Using Cadence’s suite of tools, you will help develop creative and innovative solutions for customers, benchmark product capabilities for a wide range of flow regimes and phenomena, advocate for best practices, and collaborate with members of the sales and product teams.
Key responsibilities in this position are to:
- Helping customers to adopt and proliferate our SPB solutions
- Conducting technical presentations, technical training, and product demonstrations, including development of customized presentations
- Supporting technical evaluations and benchmarks
- Help R&D and product engineers develop competitive and creative technical solutions
Minimum Requirements
- Enrollment in a BS in Electrical, Electronics, System Engineering, computer science or related areas on progress
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in learning new technologies
- Open to continued personal development to meet the evolving demands of the EDA industry
- One to two years to graduate
- Team player with a positive attitude, willingness to offer and execute ideas and solutions to enhance processes within an evolving environment
Nice to have skills - University Knowledge
- PCB design
- EDA industry, Signal and Power Integrity
- Electromagnetics, and RF related to IC Package and PCB Design are desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills

Additional Job Details:
- Internship term: 20 hours/week
