Join Philips as an Intern/Coop in Manufacturing Engineering in Plymouth, MN for Summer 2026. Must have:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Biomedical preferred)
  • Successful record of accomplishment executing school and/or internship projects
  • Ability to successfully perform minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements
Good to have:
  • Previous internship experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Intermediate CAD proficiency (SolidWorks)
  • Intermediate proficiency using a statistics software (Minitab, MATLAB, etc)

Are you interested in an Intern/Coop opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in a paid intern opportunity at our site in Plymouth, MN. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience in engineering for a HealthTech company.

Your role:

Be part of a strong manufacturing team, where you can gain exposure to Philips internal manufacturing operations through hands on experience in different areas of engineering, manufacturing, and production. You will be a part of a new Philips manufacturing center of excellence in Minnesota, and with that you will be able to gain valuable skills and industry knowledge that will provide you with a well-rounded perspective in your career moving forward.

  • Help support production by identifying and implementing design and process changes as required, including required process validation and process risk management activities.
  • Help obtain and oversee equipment installation and supporting ramp-up of the manufacturing production line.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of quality, delivery, and cost through effective use of lean manufacturing principles
  • Help create Quality Control Plan and Work Instructions
  • Assist in defining production related manufacturing requirements for new products

You are the right fit if:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Biomedical
  • Strong mechanical reasoning skills in identifying and solving problems, developing innovative solutions, acting decisively, and showing good judgement
  • Successful record of accomplishment executing school and/or internship projects
  • Previous internship experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Intermediate CAD proficiency (SolidWorks) preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency using a statistics software (Minitab, MATLAB, etc) preferred
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
