The Acquisitions & Co-Productions team at Lionsgate is seeking a summer intern to assist in various tasks related to film acquisition and co-production. Responsibilities include script and screener coverage, data entry into a film database, creating film festival recap decks, tracking incoming submissions, monitoring industry news, and supporting deal negotiation processes. The ideal candidate will be a film or communications student with excellent communication skills and experience in script coverage. The internship runs from June 10th to August 15th, 2025, and requires working 4 days a week in the Santa Monica office. The internship is paid at $18 per hour.

Summary of Position

Responsibilities

  • Execute script and screener coverage.
  • Enter information about available films into our database.
  • Create decks for film festival recaps.
  • Assist in tracking incoming submissions.
  • Monitor the trades for important film announcements and sales.

Skills

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursing a degree in Film or Communications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience writing script coverage.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of PowerPoint or Google Slides.
  • A passion for film!

Program Dates: Tuesday, June 10th – Friday, August 15th, 2025 (10 Weeks)

All interns are required to attend orientation on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025.

Details

  • Interns must not work more than 36 hours per week
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree
  • Interns must be current rising juniors through recent grads (within 6 months of internship start date)
  • Graduate students are eligible to apply
  • Interns must be available to work for the entire length of the program
  • All internships are paid
  • Most internship positions will require working 4 days in office

We review scripts and completed films, negotiate deals, shepherd our pre-buys to completion and prepare the team for attendance at major film festivals and markets.

Compensation

$18 per hour
