LegalZoom is offering a paid 26-week Finance Internship program starting October 1st, 2025. Interns will develop technical skills through meaningful project work, working with Senior Finance leaders and the accounting team. This hybrid position requires living near the Greater Los Angeles or San Francisco Bay Area, with 1-2 days in-office weekly. Interns will report to the Senior Manager, India Accounting Operations, assisting with general accounting transactions, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, SOX compliance documentation, and audit requests. The program includes mentorship, team building, and professional development.
Must have:
  • 0-1 years of experience in processing and paying invoices
  • Bachelor degree in accounting or related field
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Oracle
  • Good knowledge of Indian tax
  • Knowledge of ERP general ledger systems
  • Basic understanding of US GAAP and/or India accounting principles
  • Excellent written, oral and analytical skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel

About our Internship Program

During this paid 26-week internship, you’ll develop technical skills through meaningful project work and unique learning experiences. Work with our team of Senior Finance leaders and accounting team. This position will be hybrid, which means it will require you to live near one of our offices in the Greater Los Angeles area or the San Francisco Bay Area. All interns are expected to be in the office 1 - 2 days a week.

Our interns will connect and engage with senior leaders from across the business and be paired with a Mentor for a more meaningful experience. Attend fun team building and professional development workshops and brown bags.

The Internship program will begin Oct 1st, 2025.

What you’ll be doing

  • Report directly to the Senior Manager, India Accounting Operations, with functional reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting & Consolidation
  • Assist with the processing of general accounting transactions including: cash and bank reconciliations, fixed assets, leases, prepayments and accruals
  • Prepare journal entries as part of the monthly close cycle
  • Assist with preparation of balance sheet accounts reconciliations
  • Analyze and comment on monthly, quarterly, annual variances within income statement and balance sheet line items
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation in support of our internal control environment for SOX compliance
  • Respond to audit requests in a timely manner
  • Assist with ad hoc Oracle reports and requests from the business

What you’ll need

  • At least 0-1 years of experience in processing and paying invoices; preferably with a major technology company
  • Bachelor degree in accounting or related field required
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Oracle
  • Good knowledge of Indian tax
  • Knowledge of ERP general ledger systems
  • Must have a basic understanding of US GAAP and/or India accounting principles
  • Excellent written, oral and analytical skills
  • Collaboration and able to work within a team environment
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office including including intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups)
