Job Description

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an Investment Analyst for the Automotive/Manufacturing sector in Troy, Michigan. This role involves processing requisitions for facility investments, authoring manufacturing change notices, managing finance meetings, developing reports, and reconciling bid packages. The analyst will also assist with vehicle fleet management, coordinate testing, maintain records, and contribute to process improvements. The position requires collaboration with engineers and management to ensure efficient operations and compliance.
Must Have:
  • Process requisitions for the procurement of facility investments for new model programs.
  • Author manufacturing change notices (MCNs) for new model programs.
  • Assist with the management of PLAN$ and conduct weekly finance meetings with department heads.
  • Develop standard reports and provide daily and weekly requisition status updates to VP-level personnel.
  • Reconcile bid packages and purchase orders according to final bid pricing, including capital and expense item breakdowns.
  • Assist ME Managers and Engineers with inquiries regarding requisitions, MCNs, invoicing, and purchase orders.
  • Lead the creation of a new requisition request process using Google Forms.
  • Coordinate vehicle testing, prioritizing and validating requests in collaboration with engineers.
  • Manage and document the arrival and disposition of all fleet vehicles.
  • Maintain and insure vehicles, ensuring they are in safe and functional condition.
  • Keep accurate vehicle tracking and usage records in compliance with Corporate Audit and inventory reconciliation requirements.

Responsibilities:

Additional Duties:

  • Coordinate vehicle testing, prioritizing and validating requests in collaboration with engineers.
  • Manage and document the arrival and disposition of all fleet vehicles.
  • Receive engineering test and development vehicles from various build locations and synchronize usage plans to ensure proper delivery and disposal.
  • Contribute to the creation of a departmental Resource Manual outlining all processes.
  • Make system improvement suggestions and present them to management and IT.
  • Work with extended teams to establish and achieve quarterly fleet targets.
  • Maintain and insure vehicles, ensuring they are in safe and functional condition.
  • Keep accurate vehicle tracking and usage records in compliance with Corporate Audit and inventory reconciliation requirements.
  • Identify underutilized vehicles for sharing opportunities or disposal.
  • Apply corporate policy regarding the use and reporting of vehicle conditions and any instances of vehicle abuse.
