This role is for a Japan Localization Marketing specialist for "Knives Out" (FPS). Responsibilities include managing brand marketing projects in Japan, developing localized promotion plans, creating marketing content with art/video/KOLs, and overseeing SNS accounts. The role also involves planning integrated marketing events and optimizing strategies based on market trends and user feedback in the Japanese game and subculture market.
Must have:
  • Manage "Knives Out" brand marketing projects in Japan
  • Develop localized promotion plans based on game features and target users
  • Produce marketing materials and trending content with art/video/KOLs
  • Participate in content planning and SNS account operation in Japan
  • Plan and execute integrated marketing projects, including events and offline promotions
  • Optimize local strategies based on Japanese market trends and user feedback
Good to have:
  • Over 2 years of work experience in overseas markets in the game industry
  • Experience in the Japanese market
  • Love for subculture and sensitivity to Japan's ACGN (Anime, Comics, Games, Novels) content ecosystem
  • Ability to quickly grasp local trends and plan content promotions
  • Deep experience playing "Knives Out"
  • Study or work experience in Japan
  • Native Japanese speaker

Job Details

Job Responsibilities

1. Responsible for brand marketing projects of "Knives Out" in the Japanese market, comprehensively promoting project progress, and ensuring high-quality launches.

2. Based on game features and target users, formulate localized promotion plans and collaborate with art/video/KOL resources to produce marketing materials and trending content.

3. Mainly participate in content planning, material creation, and SNS account operation in the Japanese region.

4. Deeply involved in the planning and execution of integrated marketing projects, including events and offline promotions.

5. Pay close attention to user preferences and market trends in the Japanese game market and subculture demographic, and optimize local strategies based on data and public opinion feedback.

Application Requirements

1. University degree or higher, over 2 years of work experience in overseas markets in the game industry, preference for those with experience in the Japanese market.

2. Those who love subculture, are sensitive to Japan's ACGN (Anime, Comics, Games, Novels) content ecosystem, can quickly grasp local trends, and plan content promotions.

3. Those with deep experience playing at least 3 subculture/FPS games; preference for those with deep experience playing "Knives Out".

4. Those with excellent communication skills and team coordination ability, capable of independently driving cross-departmental projects.

5. Those familiar with major Japanese promotion platforms (e.g., X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, TikTok) and their content utilization.

6. Those with excellent Japanese language proficiency (N1 or higher), capable of business communication and content localization.

7. Preference for those with study or work experience in Japan, or native Japanese speakers.
