Job Description
NetEase Games, a leading internet technology company, is seeking a Product Manager for Localization. This role focuses on delivering high-quality English translations of in-game text, integrating overseas trending memes and pop culture into localized content, and designing engaging AI-driven chat experiences for global players. The Product Manager will also support user research by assisting in public opinion analysis of overseas players. The position requires excellent translation skills, familiarity with international gaming social platforms, and a creative, trend-aware mindset with strong content creation abilities. Mandarin Chinese proficiency is essential for collaboration with China-based partners.
Must have:
- Deliver high-quality English translations of in-game text, ensuring terminology accuracy and contextual adaptation
- Integrate overseas trending memes and pop culture relevant trends to creatively enhance localized content
- Design engaging AI-driven chat experience tailored to global player preferences
- Assist in overseas players’ public opinion analysis
- Excellent translation skills
- Familiarity with international gaming social platforms
- Creative mindset, trend-awareness, meme-savvy, and strong content creation abilities
- Mandarin Chinese is required as working partners and stakeholders are based in China
Good to have:
- Portfolio preferred (for content creation abilities)
- Proficiency in East Asian languages (e.g., Japanese or Korean) is a strong advantage
- Proficiency in Japanese or Korean is a plus
