Job Description

- Analyze data for Royalties, perform Royalty Calculation and Reporting
- Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts and balance sheets
- Prepare necessary Journal entries for intercompany royalty accruals
- Support quarter/year-end audit processes
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP

The Junior Royalty Accountant to play an integral role within the Finance team. They will be responsible for month-end analyzing data for Royalties, Royalty Calculation and Reporting. To be successful, they will be a self-starter and possess impeccable attention to detail, comfortable with large data sets and manipulation, strong financial savvy, have a high aptitude for technology and financial systems and a strong desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support to the Royalty team to assist them with collaborating with Legal, Finance, Content Strategy, and AR teams to review and report outbound royalty statements.
- Reconcile and maintain the general ledger accounts and balance sheets.
- Prepare the necessary Journal entries at month end to record intercompany royalty accruals.
- Support the quarter / year-end audit by preparing and maintaining assigned audit schedules and providing additional information to resolve issues when requested
- Participate in the monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes
- Assist monthly forecasting by providing analysis and ensuring accurate record keeping of royalties
- Assist on compilation of management reporting packages & analysis
- Prepare and maintain assigned audit schedules
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal practices, and applicable regulations
- Perform other accounting responsibilities and support other staff as assigned or required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years in Accounting, preferably within Royalties

SALARY RANGE
$70,720.00 – $90,355.65
Actual base salary will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, but not limited to, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
