Junior Engineer

The Junior Engineer at APM Terminals Bahrain is responsible for ensuring safety standards, performing effective maintenance and repair of container handling equipment, and conducting root cause analysis of failures. The role involves leading a maintenance group, prioritizing breakdown repairs, and ensuring work quality. Key responsibilities include following manufacturer maintenance schedules, performing mechanical/electrical repairs, fault finding, monitoring, and submitting inspection reports, all while adhering to safety regulations and minimizing equipment downtime.

Must Have

• Perform safety standards for all activities related to EMR
• Provide input for effective maintenance and repair of all equipment
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis of equipment failures
• Lead maintenance group, ensuring compliance with maintenance plans
• Prioritize on shift of breakdown repairs
• Accountable for ensuring work quality for all repairs and maintenance tasks
• Fully involved for all repair and maintenance activities
• Deliver by following specific manufacturers’ maintenance schedules and repair methodology
• Ensure maintenance, breakdown services, and remedial works (mechanical/electrical) of container handling equipment
• Carry out maintenance and repair service for container handling gantry cranes
• Carry out mechanical/electrical maintenance repairs, fault findings, and monitoring
• Submit routine and critical inspection and monitoring reports
• Ensure work conforms to safety rules and regulation
• Guide team performance to ensure compliance of maintenance schedules and minimize breakdown time of equipment
• Ensure quality of all works conducted on equipment

Role Overview:

Purpose :

• Able to perform safety Standards for all activities related to EMR & Guide staff to follow.
• Provides input for effective maintenance and repair of all equipment including first line
• Root Cause Analysis of equipment failures.
• Able to lead maintenance group ensuring compliance with all maintenance plans and prioritizing on shift of breakdown repairs.
• Accountable for ensuring work quality for all the repairs and maintenance task under his supervision.
• Fully involved for All repair and Maintenance activities.
• Able to learn, improve & develop

Key Responsibilities:

• The position is primarily expected to deliver by following specific manufacturers’ maintenance schedules and repair methodology.
• Ensures that the maintenance, breakdown services and or remedial works (mechanical / electrical) of container handling equipment
• Carries out maintenance and repair service for container handling gantry cranes.
• Ensures that emergency work is followed up.
• Carries out mechanical / electrical maintenance repairs, fault findings and monitoring.
• Submits routine and critical inspection and monitoring reports.
• Ensures work conforms to safety rules and regulation.
• Able to guide the performance of the team to ensure compliance of maintenance schedules and minimize breakdown time of equipment.
• Ensure quality of all works conducted on equipment either preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, breakdown, condition-based maintenance or any such category of work type as required to ensure equipment up time.
