Job Description

CD Projekt RED's Mocap Team seeks a Junior Motion Capture Stage Technician. This role involves collaborating with internal clients and the motion capture team to prepare for recordings, assisting performers with suiting up, creating and maintaining props/sets, collaborating with animators, maintaining the motion capture workshop, and assisting the Stage Manager with daily tasks (budget management, ordering, prop creation). The ideal candidate possesses knowledge of 3D programs (SketchUp, Blender, UE, Autodesk), manual skills in prop creation (woodworking, metalworking), strong communication and organizational skills, and fluency in English. Experience working on a film set or in related handicrafts is a plus.

Our Mocap Team is expanding, and we're on the lookout for a versatile candidate to join us as a Junior Motion Capture Specialist! In this role, you'll delve into animation, programming, audio, video, and even a touch of carpentry. As part of our team, you'll contribute to preparing animations for all CD Projekt RED projects. Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with internal clients and motion capture team in prepping for motion capture recordings
  • Supporting motion capture shoot (being a helping hand, helping performers with suiting up and marketing).
  • Creating new and maintaining already designed props/sets, collaborating with animators to create or modify custom props or sets.
  • Maintaining motion capture workshop.
  • Assisting Stage Manager in his daily tasks (managing the prop budget, placing orders, creating props).

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of one of the 3D programs (SketchUp, Blender, UE, Autodesk programs etc.).
  • Manual skills in creating props for motion capture recordings (woodworking, metalworking etc.).
  • Self-motivated team player.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Time-oriented and organized.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Demonstrated interest in motion capture technology.
  • Nice to have: Experience working on a film set; handicraft experience like cosplay, woodwork, metalwork, scultping etc.

Working mode

  • Office-First: working primarily from the Warsaw studio for at least 3 days a week.
