Job Description

Aptiv is seeking a Junior Process Engineer in Lisbon, Portugal, to support the EDS division, which is becoming an independent company focused on electrified, automated, and connected vehicles. This role involves assisting with engineering documentation, prototype development, testing, quality analysis, and data input for DFMEA. The engineer will also help resolve production issues, support training, and contribute to process improvements, applying Aptiv standards and customer requirements. Candidates should have a technical degree and at least one year of experience in manufacturing process development.

  • Knowledge of other foreign languages is a plus.
Must Have:
  • Support engineering documentation, prototype development, and basic testing activities under supervision.
  • Assist in analyzing product quality and performance, contributing to improvements and reporting.
  • Input data into DFMEA and help with cost estimation and manufacturing engineering tasks.
  • Participate in resolving simple production issues and support on-the-job training efforts.
  • Learn and apply Aptiv standards, customer requirements, and basic analytical tools.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and assist in customer communications, contributing to process improvements.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field.
  • 1 year of professional experience in manufacturing process development, especially in automotive or similar industry.
  • English language proficiency at minimum B2 level.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Effective time management and task/project execution.
  • Good understanding of technical knowledge and design principles.
  • High level of analytical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
