The Junior Scrum Master will kick-start their career in Agile delivery within the European public sector. They will gain hands-on experience in SAFe and work with a mission-driven team. Responsibilities include facilitating Scrum ceremonies, participating in SAFe events, acting as a liaison, identifying and removing blockers, promoting continuous improvement, and supporting Agile coaching. The role requires an onsite presence to support project delivery and strengthen client relationships.
Must have:
  • 1-2 years of Scrum Master experience
  • SAFe 6.0 Scrum Master (SSM) certification
  • Experience in software development projects
  • Familiarity with Agile tools
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum principles
  • Excellent facilitation skills
  • EU citizenship
  • Fluency in English
Good to have:
  • Additional certifications such CSM or CSP
  • Exposure to Agile metrics and reporting
  • Proficiency in any additional European language

Qualifications

Looking to kick-start your career in Agile delivery with purpose? ARHS Group, part of Accenture, is hiring a Junior Scrum Master for one of our major clients in the European public sector. You’ll gain hands-on experience in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and be part of a mission-driven team delivering meaningful solutions.

THE WORK:

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) and ensure alignment with SAFe 6.0.
  • Actively participate in SAFe ceremonies like PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt, System Demos, and Scrum of Scrums.
  • Act as a liaison between the team and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and open communication.
  • Identify and remove blockers, manage cross-team dependencies, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Promote continuous improvement through metrics (velocity, burn-down charts, etc.) and retrospectives.
  • Support Agile coaching and mentoring within the team.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Release Train Engineers (RTEs) to align team deliverables with business priorities.

Onsite at client site: This role requires an onsite presence with our clients and partners to support project delivery and strengthen client relationships. Our roles require in-person time to encourage collaboration, learning, and relationship-building with clients, colleagues, and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–2 years of experience in a Scrum Master role, ideally in a SAFe environment
  • SAFe 6.0 Scrum Master (SSM) certification
  • Hands-on experience in software development projects
  • Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira, Rally, or similar
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and Lean practices
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills
  • EU citizenship and fluency in English

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Additional certifications such CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or CSP (Certified Scrum Professional)
  • Exposure to Agile metrics and reporting
  • Proficiency in any additional European language
