Our team is expanding, and we are seeking a Junior Software Engineer DevOps to design and support customer deployments of Adtran Infrastructure Monitoring (AIM) software products. AIM is responsible for Adtran's ALM series of fiber monitoring devices and software, providing proactive fiber monitoring solutions. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable infrastructure as code for software deployments, implementing automated CI/CD pipelines, and designing Proof-of-Concepts on forward-looking technologies for stakeholders.
Must have:
  • University degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Knowledge of Python, Docker, Ansible, Jenkins
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, OpenStack)
  • Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  • Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools
  • Motivated team player with good people skills
  • Fluent in oral and written English

As a Junior Software Engineer DevOps you will be a member of a young and dynamic team responsible for designing and supporting customer deployments of Adtran Infrastructure Monitoring (AIM) software products.

Adtran Infrastructure Monitoring (AIM) Product Unit is responsible for Adtran’s ALM series of fiber monitoring devices and affiliated software, which provide proactive fiber monitoring solutions that help network infrastructure operators to quickly isolate faults and take immediate targeted action.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable infrastructure as code for software deployments

  • Implement automated CI/CD pipelines

  • Design Proof-of-Concepts on forward-looking technologies for internal and external stakeholders

Desired qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other related area

  • Knowledge of Python, Docker, Ansible, Jenkins

  • Strong knowledge of public and private cloud platforms such as AWS, OpenStack, etc.

  • Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Experience with automation and configuration tools like Ansible, Puppet or Chef

  • Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools

  • Motivated Team Player with good people skills

  • Fluent in oral and written English
