Job Description

The Kids Coordinator provides support and care for various aspects of the kids ministry at the Belle Glade location. Responsibilities include supporting kids experiences to create a safe, fun, and engaging environment, specifically leading the Kids Saturday Program and Kids U Wednesday night program. The role also involves selecting and equipping a volunteer team, building relationships with families and volunteers, managing check-in/check-out procedures, preparing resources, assisting with events, and supervising midweek programming. This position requires a passion for helping others discover their purpose and connection in ministry. The schedule includes campus meetings, leading Kids U, leading volunteers and programming for the Kids Saturday Program and supporting/leading kids environments at the campus.

The Kids Coordinator provides support and care for different aspects of the kids ministry at our Belle Glade location. 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Supporting Kids experiences to create an excellent, safe, fun, meaningful, and engaging environment as determined by the campus kids team. 
    • Specifically, giving leadership to our Kids Saturday Program and our Kids U Wednesday night program. 
  • Selecting and equipping a volunteer team so they can thrive in their assigned roles on the Christ Fellowship Kids team.
    • Building relationships with families and Dream Team volunteers. 
    • Scheduling volunteers for Kids U and Saturday Program. 
  • Ensuring our children are properly checked into the environment and checked out of the environment using our security tags.
  • Ensure resources are prepared and distributed in preparation for various experiences.
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of events and spiritual milestones.
  • Supporting the supervision of midweek programming during the week as directed.
  • Attending weekly staff meetings and Department meetings as directed.
  • Serve as a PHASE expert.

SAMPLE SCHEDULE:

  • Tuesday: Campus Meetings, preparation for the weekend
  • Wednesday: Staff Meeting, Central Meetings, Leads Kids U
  • Saturday: Staff lead for Kids Saturday Program (lead volunteers and programming) 
  • Sunday: Support/lead kids environments at the campus
    • 1 Saturday or Sunday/quarter will be a flex day where you will not be required to be onsite.   

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, and experience in working with children. 
  • Passion to help others discover their purpose and connect in ministry. 
  • The ability to stand, sit, reach, and lift up to 40lbs if needed.

JOB SPECS: 

  • Classification: Full-time (35 hours), Salary (Exempt)
  • Works Sunday - Thursday and Saturday
  • Reporting to: Campus Pastor
