Job Description

Under the authority of the quality control supervisor, the selected candidate will be essentially responsible for performing quality control tests of raw materials and finished products for powder, liquid, and epoxy products and providing support to chemists assigned to various R&D projects.
Good To Have:
  • DEC in chemistry or one (1) year of laboratory experience in quality control, preferably in a related field.
  • Bilingual (French and English) to facilitate exchanges with the team outside Quebec (60% of the time) and international colleagues.
  • Know how to use all testing equipment according to recognized professional rules.
  • Follow Sika Canada Inc. training on all procedures applicable to their position (SMS, environment, health and safety).
Must Have:
  • Perform quality control tests to demonstrate product quality compliance and identify any product-related non-conformities.
  • Record product quality results, including issues.
  • Complete non-conformity reports, if necessary.
  • Process non-conforming products.
  • Participate in finding solutions and implementing corrective actions with the technology director and/or production director.
  • Perform laboratory equipment calibration (person responsible for calibration only).
  • Complete forms related to the position.
  • Implement the various procedures of the environmental management program applicable to their sector of activity.
  • Execute projects requested by the technology director as well as any other related task while respecting the quality assurance procedures of Sika Canada Inc.
