Cadence Design Systems is seeking a Lead Application Engineer for Physical Design - Synthesis and Digital Implementation in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. This role, within the Global Customer Success (GCS) team, involves enhancing customer productivity, debugging complex issues, and providing solutions for digital tools and flows. Key responsibilities include collaborating with R&D for product improvements, creating knowledge content, developing out-of-the-box solutions using scripting, and deploying ML-based solutions to boost productivity and PPA. The position requires expertise in digital implementation on advanced nodes, particularly in Synthesis, Place & Route, or STA, along with strong debugging skills.
Must have:
  • Help customers in enhancing their productivity, debug complex issues and provide solutions in the digital tools & flows.
  • Working closely with R&D and Product Engineering to identify and prioritize the product improvement initiatives through formal methods.
  • Ensuring high impact knowledge content, tool adoption kits and other high-level documents to increase the self-service for customers.
  • Produce out-of-the-box solutions to customer problems using either tool capabilities or scripting techniques.
  • Deploy ML based Solutions to improve productivity and PPA
  • Narrow down complex problems and ensure quality CCRs for R&D resolution.

Job Details

Job Responsibilities

  • Help customers in enhancing their productivity, debug complex issues and provide solutions in the digital tools & flows.
  • Working closely with R&D and Product Engineering to identify and prioritize the product improvement initiatives through formal methods.
  • Ensuring high impact knowledge content, tool adoption kits and other high-level documents to increase the self-service for customers.
  • Produce out-of-the-box solutions to customer problems using either tool capabilities or scripting techniques.
  • Deploy ML based Solutions to improve productivity and PPA
  • Narrow down complex problems and ensure quality CCRs for R&D resolution.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Complete Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics or related fields.
  • Experience in Digital Implementation flows on advanced nodes.
  • Expertise in one or more domains – Synthesis/Physical Design - Place & Route/STA
  • Must have excellent debugging skills and ability to separate out the critical issues from trivial ones.
