Job Description

This Lead Cybersecurity Engineer position at Syniverse involves analyzing, developing, testing, and supporting security implementations with high-quality standards. The role focuses on designing, documenting, and deploying IAM solutions, managing IGA platforms, and enforcing access controls. It requires collaboration with Security and Infrastructure Engineers to enhance environmental security, manage IAM incidents, and perform system audits, contributing to Syniverse's mission as the world's most connected company.
Must have:
  • Design, analyze, and document IAM workflows, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and deploy IAM solutions alongside security engineers and administrators.
  • Manage, configure, and integrate IGA platforms with other systems and applications.
  • Define and enforce role-based access control (RBAC), least privilege, and segregation of duties (SoD).
  • Test, install, and maintain IAM/IGA applications.
  • 5-8 years of Cyber Security Engineering Experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with configuring and administration in IGA software with a focus on SailPoint ISC.
  • Experience with configuring and administration of PAM software and knowledge of PAM technologies with a focus on BeyondTrust Password Safe.
  • Strong experience with Active Directory, LDAP, Entra ID, and REST APIs.
  • Strong experience with OAuth, SAML, FIDO2 and other authentication protocols.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby for automation.

  • Knowledge of IAM/IGA Policies/Practices.

Who We're Looking For

This position is responsible for analyzing, developing, testing, and supporting security implementations. These security implementations must be developed and maintained with high-quality standards and minimal defects. This role will work heavily alongside Security Engineers and Infrastructure Engineers in order to gain expertise in their practice area while enhancing the overall security of the environment.

Some of What You'll Do

Scope of the Role:

  • Direct Reports: This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designs, analyzes, and documents IAM workflows, policies, and procedures to ensure secure and efficient access management.
  • Works alongside security engineers and administrators to develop and deploy IAM solutions.
  • Manages, configures, and integrates IGA platforms with other systems and applications
  • Writes technical documentation for processes and applications, facilitating the IAM function.
  • Defines and enforces role-based access control (RBAC), least privilege, and segregation of duties (SoD).
  • Tests, installs, and maintains IAM/IGA applications.
  • Provides support to internal users and support staff.
  • Investigates IAM incidents for missing or incorrect functionality.
  • Partners with Senior Engineers on assessing incident resolution and estimates IGA application changes.
  • Performs regular system audits and generates compliance reports

Experience, Education, and Certifications:

  • 5-8 years of Cyber Security Engineering Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience with configuring and administration in IGA software with a focus on SailPoint ISC.
  • Experience with configuring and administration of PAM software and knowledge of PAM technologies with a focus on BeyondTrust Password Safe.
