Job Description

A Lead DevOps Engineer will work within automation teams to define, develop, test, and maintain the full CI/CD pipeline for cloud and on-premises environments. This role involves delivering solutions that improve the day-to-day experience for various teams, including quality assurance, operations, and other developers. You will take ownership of problems, drive improvements through automation, and mentor junior talent within the team, contributing to the success of a global, high-profile platform.
Must have:
  • Define, develop, test, and maintain the full CI/CD pipeline for cloud and on premises
  • Take full ownership of problems and drive them through to completion
  • Demonstrate dedication to improving testing and deployment of solutions through automation
  • Identify, propose, and drive improvements to meet automation goals
  • Help guide and develop junior talent within the team
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with CI/CD automation platforms such as Jenkins and Gitlab
  • Experience in containerization (Docker)
  • Experience with Kubernetes
Good to have:
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS and Azure preferred)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Strong analytical skills for fixing and diagnostic
  • Ability to thoroughly test and debug code
  • Ability to suggest/research new technologies
  • Exposure to REST API's
  • Strong focus on continued learning and development
  • Experience with NoSQL DB technologies such as Mongo or DynamoDB
  • Experience in Linux
  • Experience with source code management tools such as GIT
  • A good relevant degree
  • Experience with mainstream programming languages such as Java, C++, or C#
  • Familiarity with Solace
  • Familiarity with Redis
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies

Team members will rapidly come up to speed with our existing automation and API's while expanding there knowledge in python, Terraform and Kubernetes. you'll be delivering solutions that improve the day to day experience of a wide range of teams including quality assurance engineers, operations staff and other developers.

Responsibilities

A Lead DevOps Engineer will work within the automation teams and alongside product teams to define, develop, test, and maintain the full CI/CD pipeline for cloud and on premises. This pipeline handles everything from the initial builds to automated testing and production deployment's. This is an opportunity to be part of development for our latest platform and you could be a critical part of our success in a global, high profile environment and with an enterprise level product with a global team.

The ideal candidate will be an individual that will take full ownership of problems and drive them through to completion. Must demonstrate dedication to improving the testing and Deployment of our solutions through automation and able to identify, propose, and drive improvements to meet this goal. Learning is also an important aspect of every member of the team, and continued learning is strongly encouraged and supported.

You will be expected to help guide and help develop junior talent with the team, and provide your technical expertise.

Required skills:

  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with CI/CD automation platforms such as Jenkins and Gitlab
  • Experience in containerization (Docker)
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience mentoring junior team memebrs
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork (especially virtual)

Preferred skills:
