Job Summary
Gameloft is seeking a Lead Game Designer to join their Barcelona studio. This role involves defining and executing the game vision, directing gameplay and meta-structure for Free-to-Play titles, and leading the design team to ensure a cohesive player experience. The Lead Game Designer will also coordinate level design, collaborate with product and economy teams to maximize revenue, and foster cross-departmental relationships to maintain quality and innovation.
Must Have
- Collaborate with team leads to define and execute the game vision.
- Direct the tone, gameplay, and meta structure of the game, focusing on innovation and Free-to-Play ecosystem.
- Lead the design team to ensure a cohesive experience.
- Coordinate and direct level design teams for synergy between mechanics and progression.
- Work with economy designers and product managers to maximize revenue through live-ops.
- Anticipate and mitigate threats to quality and innovation.
- Foster collaborative relationships with various departments.
- Allocate and plan resources in collaboration with managers and producers.
- Participate in the recruitment process for game designers.
