Job Description

Triband is seeking an experienced Lead Game Programmer for a new, unannounced project. Based in Copenhagen, you will join a small, hands-on team, taking technical ownership of the game from early exploration to Live Service. This role involves defining architecture, implementing core systems, ensuring cross-platform quality, and aligning technical work with the game's vision, all while fostering a great working environment.
Good To Have:
  • Experience being a lead or key role programmer on a game
  • Experience with building a game from nothing
  • Experience with Xcode
  • Experience with graphics performance optimization
Must Have:
  • Technical ownership of the game and its architecture
  • Technical approach and implementation of core systems
  • Ensure a quality experience across platforms (iOS to console)
  • Align technical implementations with the game vision
  • Ensure the game is great to work on
  • 5+ years of experience in game development
  • Experience working with mobile games
  • Experience releasing games as part of a team
  • Proficiency in C#
  • Deep knowledge of the Unity engine and editor
  • Thrive in taking ownership of your area

Triband is the award-winning studio behind the WHAT THE? comedy game series, which is played by millions worldwide. From our home in central Copenhagen, more than 45 wonderful humans are united by a simple mission: to make everyone laugh.

We're starting a brand-new, unannounced project and looking for an experienced Lead Game Programmer for a new game.

How you will work

You will join a new project, and help take a game from early exploration all the way to Live Service. You will be part of a small team, where we all work hands-on and help each other out where we can.

Main responsibilities

  • Technical ownership of the game and the architecture
  • Technical approach and implementation of core systems
  • Ensure a quality experience across platforms (we support everything from iOS to console and beyond)
  • Make the technical implementations align with the game vision
  • Making sure the game is great to work on

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in game development
  • Experience working with mobile games
  • You've worked on releasing games as part of a team
  • Proficiency in C# and a deep knowledge of the Unity engine and editor

Bonus points

  • Experience being a lead or key role programmer on a game
  • Experience with building a game from nothing
  • Experience with Xcode
  • Experience with cool things like graphics performance optimization
