Job Description

As a Lead Group Product Manager for Google Ads, you'll be a driving force behind the success of businesses that leverage Google's advertising network for search, display, and video campaigns. You'll play a vital role in Google's mission to support a diverse web landscape and ensure its accessibility. You'll be constantly exploring, developing, and applying cutting-edge technologies to empower publishers to generate revenue through their content and help advertisers reach engaged users. This role involves leading a team of product managers, defining and tracking key metrics, creating product requirements, guiding product design and development, and owning product roadmaps. You'll also collaborate closely with engineers, marketers, legal teams, UX experts, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and innovation.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role
  • 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
  • 5 years of experience in people management, with technical leadership
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders
  • Experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting)
  • Experience preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership
Good to have:
  • Master’s degree or PhD in a technology or business related field
  • 7 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders
  • 7 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting)
  • 5 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership

As a Product Manager for Google Ads, you will helps businesses that desire to have search, display, and video campaigns on Google and its advertising network, playing a critical role in Google's overall mission: helping to sustain a diversity of content and perspectives on the web, and helping to keep the web universally accessible and free, as opposed to hidden behind paywalls. You will be constantly exploring, developing, and applying state-of-the art technologies to help publishers generate business via their content, and advertisers acquire engaged users.

We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of product managers. 
  • Lead a team through defining, identifying, collecting, and tracking appropriate product or business metrics.
  • Create product requirements, co-lead product design and development and own product roadmaps. 
  • Lead collaboration with engineering, marketing, legal, UX, and other teams on cutting edge technologies.
