ROLE SUMMARY:
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will take ownership of leading development efforts for Product Insight and Platform Service Intelligence, spanning SDK development, data engineering, DevOps practices and other technical domains.
You will collaborate with multi-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions while mentoring and guiding a team of engineers.
To succeed in this role, you will need strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement in delivering innovative analytics and platform intelligence solutions.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Lead development efforts for Product Insight and Platform Service Intelligence across SDK development, DevOps practice and data engineering.
Drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable and reliable solutions.
Advise on DevOps improvements to streamline workflows and boost reliability.
Mentor and guide engineers, fostering collaboration and continuous learning.
Work closely with multi-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure the successful delivery of impactful solutions.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Crucial Skills:
Shown experience (7+ years) in leading software development efforts, with a strong focus on Java and Python.
Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data engineering standard methodologies.
Expertise in designing and building scalable, event-driven systems and SDKs, with solid understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, and secure communication protocols.
Practical experience working directly with Apache Airflow (preferably AWS MWAA) for orchestrating data workflows.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience mentoring and helping teams stay aligned and move forward together.
Desirable Skills (Good to Have):
Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
Ability to lead or provide suggestions for DevOps practices to improve development workflows and system reliability.
Familiarity with cloud-native platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Kubernetes).
Experience with analytics systems, distributed systems, or failover mechanisms.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
Familiarity with serverless architectures and microservices design.
Proficiency in persistence mechanisms (e.g., in-memory and file-based storage) and JSON parsing.
Experience with Gradle for build automation and JUnit for unit testing.
Experience with Big data tools (e.g., Glue, Spark, Snowflake).
