Lead Tech Artist, Amazon Games

County, Montreal, San Diego and Seattle, we’re excited to expand Amazon Games’ commitment to
creating and publishing incredible games, and we’re on the lookout for talented folks to join us as we
grow.

At Amazon Games, our ambition is to create bold new experiences that foster community in and around our games. Our team of game industry veterans is developing and publishing live service AAA multiplayer games and developing original IPs, including New World, with our studios and
teams in Seattle, Orange County, San Diego, and Montreal. Amazon Games also publishes best-in-class
games working closely with our partners, leading with Lost Ark from Smilegate RPG, Throne and Liberty from NCSOFT, Blue Protocol from Bandai Namco Online as well as the next major entry in the Tomb Raider series from Crystal Dynamics.

As a Lead Tech Artist, you use your skills and experience to lead the technical art team based on the directions set by Amazon Games leadership, ensuring the art content and assets area easily integrated in the game in collaboration with artist and engineers making sure all the technical constraints of the project are met and the artistical vision is respected.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop workflows according to team and production needs
- Deal with technical issue in the asset creation pipeline
- Organize and facilitate regular team meetings to assign tasks, set priorities, discuss progress, risks, etc.
- Work with artists, animators that create 3D art and integrate it into the game
- Create high quality 3D assets in line with the game vision defined by Amazon Games leadership and technical constraints
- Adopt the latest tools and techniques to raise the quality bar for art
- Provide coaching and constructive feedback to help support and contribute ideas to develop a
consistent and tech vision

Basic Qualifications

- Extensive experience in tech art field
- Ability to adapt to engine and project requirements
- Shipped 1 game in a technical art role

Preferred Qualifications

- Proficiency with Maya, 3DS Max, or other modelling software
- Knowledge of knowledge of scripting/programming using languages
- Experience of working with Unreal 5 or similar game engine
- Mastery of the 3D assets production pipeline
- Capacity to learn new tools and techniques
- Ability to mentor and share knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
