Welcome to Amazon Games Bucharest! Joining the ranks of the existing development teams in Orange County, Montreal, San Diego and Seattle, we’re excited to expand Amazon Games’ commitment to creating and publishing incredible games, and we’re on the lookout for talented folks to join us as we grow.

We’re looking for an experienced software development engineer with a track record of delivering large scale services and is passionate about building innovative systems to support our games. At Amazon Games, you’ll have the power of AWS cloud to build amazing experiences for players, streamers and creators. If you are excited about making a big impact in the game industry, we're looking for you!

Key job responsibilities
• Work closely with game teams and Twitch to build central service solutions using AWS
• Work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technologies and evaluate technical feasibility
• Focus on operational excellence, constructively identify problems and propose solutions
• Write clean, maintainable code and perform peer code-reviews

About the team
At Amazon Games, our ambition is to create bold new experiences that foster community in and around our games. Our team of game industry veterans is developing and publishing live service AAA multiplayer games and developing original IPs, including New World, with our studios and teams in Seattle, Orange County, San Diego, and Montreal. Amazon Games also publishes best-in-class games working closely with our partners, leading with Lost Ark from Smilegate RPG, Throne and Liberty from NCSOFT, Blue Protocol from Bandai Namco Online as well as the next major entry in the Tomb Raider series from Crystal Dynamics.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Bucharest, ROU

Basic Qualifications

- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Experience in professional, non-internship software development
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Game Development experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
