Job Description

Are you passionate about driving operational excellence and transforming service processes through Lean methodologies? Join us as a Lean Manager and become a catalyst for change in our dynamic, heavy industry services environment. You’ll lead strategic initiatives to optimize locomotive service operations, reduce waste, and elevate productivity across multiple service centers.
Must have:
  • Champion Lean transformation using Kaizen, 5S, A3 problem solving, Yamazumi, Value Stream Mapping.
  • Lead cross-functional Action Workouts to identify gaps and mentor teams.
  • Develop and implement model lines and lean roadmaps for service excellence.
  • Drive measurable improvements in dwell time, quality, and operational metrics.
  • Collaborate with service centers and suppliers for lean line flows.
  • Support international lean projects, managing scope, cost, and budget.
  • Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and visual management culture.
  • Lead Special Projects Teams and support Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (Engineering or Applied Science preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience in a Lean management environment.
  • Expertise in Lean tools and methodologies.
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills at managerial level.
  • Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Legal authorization to work in Kazakhstan.
  • Proficiency in English.
Good to have:
  • Proven experience in heavy industry services is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion Lean transformation using tools like Kaizen, 5S, A3 problem solving, Yamazumi, and Value Stream Mapping
  • Lead cross-functional Action Workouts to identify gaps, brainstorm solutions, and mentor teams
  • Develop and implement model lines and lean roadmaps for service excellence
  • Drive measurable improvements in dwell time, quality, and operational metrics
  • Collaborate with service centers and suppliers to establish lean line flows for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Support international lean projects, managing scope, cost, and budget
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and visual management
  • Lead Special Projects Teams and support Lean Six Sigma certification initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (Engineering or Applied Science preferred)
  • 4+ years of experience in a Lean management environment
  • Proven experience in heavy industry services is highly desirable
  • Expertise in Lean tools and methodologies
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills at managerial level
  • Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Energetic, self-driven, and passionate about change

  • Innovative and willing to take calculated risks
  • Committed to lifelong learning and continuous improvement
  • Legal authorization to work in Kazakhstan is required

This is an office-based role that requires frequent travel to remote locomotive service locations. Candidates must be fully prepared and willing to travel as a core part of the position.
