Position Responsibilities:
Design and implement sophisticated lighting setups for characters, environments, and scenes using software such as Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender.
Collaborate with art directors, modelers, and texture artists to ensure that lighting complements and enhances the overall visual style of the project.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior lighting artists, sharing knowledge and best practices to elevate the team's skills.
Optimize lighting setups for performance across various platforms, ensuring high-quality visuals in real-time and pre-rendered scenarios.
Troubleshoot and resolve lighting-related issues, maintaining production timelines and quality standards.
Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and tools, and incorporate new lighting technologies into the production pipeline.
Present and articulate lighting concepts and decisions to stakeholders during reviews and meetings.
