Machine Learning Engineer

Match Group AI is the central AI organization contributing to various Match Group products like Tinder and Hinge by leveraging AI technology. They identify and solve problems that are difficult to address with existing technologies but can be solved with AI, thereby innovating user experiences. This role involves creating tools that help users express themselves better and developing features that provide more satisfying experiences in discovering meaningful connections. The ML Team applies AI technologies across various services, researching and applying the latest AI advancements. They are responsible for designing, optimizing, and deploying models and systems in real service environments to create practical impact. The work starts with identifying and defining problems from actual service scenarios, developing or reproducing State-of-the-Art models, and efficiently deploying them. Continuous monitoring and improvement build the AI flywheel for services. Collaboration with backend/frontend/DevOps engineers, data analysts, and PMs is crucial for delivering impactful AI experiences to users.

Must Have

• Basic AI/ML knowledge and deep domain expertise.
• Experience with Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA).
• Experience optimizing models using benchmark datasets.
• Ability to quickly and accurately implement papers.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (Tensorflow, PyTorch, JAX).
• Engineering skills for ML model training and deployment.
• Interest in AI commercialization.
• Basic English communication, fluent Korean communication.
• No degree/nationality restrictions.

Good to Have

• Understanding of AI/ML domains.
• Publication record in top AI/ML conferences/journals.
• Experience in ML open-source development.
• Experience in ML workflow automation (AutoML, etc.).
