Job Summary
TikTok's E-commerce Global Supply Chain and Logistics team seeks a Machine Learning Engineer Intern (PhD) for Summer/Fall 2025. The intern will develop deep learning and operations research models for supply chain optimization, predicting ETAs, handling address issues, forecasting sales, and enhancing the user logistics experience. Responsibilities involve using e-commerce big data, deep learning, NLP, and LLMs to build intelligent systems. The intern will also contribute to the growth of e-commerce merchants/creators by developing algorithms for merchant mining, tiering, outreach, and growth. This 12-24 week internship provides hands-on experience and a vibrant work environment.
Must Have
- PhD in AI/CS/OR related fields
- Deep learning & data mining experience
- Python/Java programming skills
- ML/DL framework experience (TensorFlow/PyTorch)
- Time series forecasting expertise

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $57.75- $57.75.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year).
