Job Summary

This role involves designing and building AI-powered systems for product discovery, including semantic search, suggestions, and personalization. The engineer will be responsible for creating AI products and features that solve real user problems, designing and implementing data pipelines for training and inference, writing production-ready code, and continuously monitoring system performance. Must Have

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking
Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
Experience with data analysis and management
Exposure to AI/ML concepts (Supervised Learning, NLP, etc.)
Interest in building end-to-end products

At Insider, we’re building AI-powered systems that make product discovery faster, more relevant, and deeply personalized. From semantic search to suggestions, from merchandising to analytics, our products are driven by impactful AI/ML techniques.

A Machine Learning Engineer in Insider day in and day out:

Design, build and release AI products/features that solve real user problems
Design and implement streaming/batch data pipelines to support training and inference
Write production-ready code, and move it to production with the help of cloud services and CI/CD techniques
Continuously monitor and improve the quality and performance of the systems
Learn by doing—while owning real problems and demonstrating end-to-end ownership through all the system

We want you to join us while we are taking a step into the future if you likely have:

Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability combined with a growth mindset
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
Experience with data analysis and management
Exposure to AI/ML concepts: Supervised Learning, NLP, Embeddings, Transformers, Computer Vision, Information Retrieval, LLMs, RAG, Agents, etc.
Interest in building end-to-end products; not just models or a piece of code of a huge system

and it would be a strong plus if you have any of below:

Involvement in academic projects leveraging AI/ML concepts
Familiarity with Backend/API development or cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure)
A story to tell about a real-world problem solving or business-related achievement
