Machine Learning QA/Annotation Engineer

Gather AI is seeking a meticulous Machine Learning QA/Annotation Engineer to join their team in Hyderabad, India. This role involves accurately labeling and categorizing large datasets to train and improve AI and machine learning models for their vision-powered platform. The engineer will review and annotate images, organize results, build tools for annotation outsourcing, and potentially grow into a broader QA/QC Engineer role. The company is pioneering warehouse intelligence using autonomous drones to digitize supply chain workflows.

Must Have

• BS in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of statistics and ability to work with data
• Familiarity with Python, including experience actively using standard test frameworks (e.g. pytest)
• Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills

Good to Have

• 2+ years in quality assurance or product support
• 1+ years experience with enterprise-grade ticketing systems (e.g. Jira)
• Experience working with data annotation for Computer Vision/ML teams
• Small team experience

About You

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Annotator to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the success of our AI and machine learning initiatives by accurately labeling and categorizing large datasets. Your work will directly contribute to training and improving our machine learning models, ensuring the quality and integrity of the data used for AI development.

What You'll Do

• Review and annotate images with our Machine Learning and QA teams to measure and improve the performance of our image processing algorithms.
• Organize annotation results, and share reports and insights with the broader engineering and operations team.
• Build tools and techniques that support the outsourcing of our annotation process, including potentially building lightweight tests and tools.
• Grow into a broader QA/QC Engineer role, and/or potentially help us manage 3rd party resources and relationships. [depending on your individual interest and skills]

What You'll Need
