Job Description

The Manager, Corporate FP&A is a critical and highly visible role within the team, performing integrated companywide analysis and consolidation to support the Activision Blizzard King executive leadership team. This position assists with companywide planning and forecasting processes, analyzes and reports on Corporate Support functions, and identifies opportunities for improvement. Key responsibilities include supporting the Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecast, and Quarterly Close processes, partnering with support function leaders, and preparing senior leader reporting packages. This role requires strong problem-solving, prioritization, and attention to detail, and is anticipated to be a hybrid work model position.
Must have:
  • Perform integrated companywide analysis and consolidation.

  • Analyze, report, and support performance of Corporate Support functions.
  • Demonstrate strong aptitude for interpreting, analyzing, and communicating complex business issues.

  • Problem solving, prioritization, and attention to detail.
  • Support Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecast, and Quarterly Close processes.
  • Partner with various support function leaders to optimize efficiencies.
  • Prepare and analyze senior leader reporting packages.
  • Coordinate data-gathering across the organization.
  • Assess risk and opportunity ranges for initiatives and guidance.
  • Plan for expenditures and headcount for the year ahead.
  • Load necessary information into the Hyperion system.
  • Prepare AOP FY27 decks.
  • Support coordination of forecast inputs from various regions and business units.
  • Prepare journal entries, reclasses, and accruals for month end close.
  • Prepare various analyses for business insight and financial risks/opportunities.
  • Perform variance analysis, ensuring no surprises for senior leadership.
  • Drive standardization and effective evolution of Hyperion-based financial planning system.
  • Automate standard processes and reporting.
  • Assist with Microsoft integration work.

Your Mission

The Manager position on the Corporate FP&A team is a critical and highly visible role within the team that performs integrated companywide analysis and consolidation to support the executive leadership team and assists with the companywide planning and forecasting processes. Reporting to the Director, Finance, this role will work to analyze, report and support the performance of the Corporate Support functions and specifically demonstrate a strong aptitude for interpreting, analyzing, and communicating complex business issues, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Problem solving, prioritization, and attention to detail are critical.

The core functions of the role include supporting the Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecast and Quarterly Close processes and ongoing partnership with various support function leaders to optimize efficiencies, while ensuring we are maintaining flexibility and supporting the strategic objectives of Activision Blizzard King. Key outputs include preparation and analysis for senior leader reporting packages, coordinating data-gathering across the organization, and assessing risk and opportunity ranges for initiatives and guidance.

This role is anticipated to be assigned as a hybrid work model position, with some work on-site at an Activision Blizzard office and some work remote.

What you bring to the table

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Annual Operating Plan (40%)

  • Work with stakeholders across the business and the regions to plan for expenditures and headcount in the year ahead
  • Load all necessary information into the Hyperion system
  • Prepare AOP FY27 decks to relay all necessary information to stakeholders

Monthly Close, Quarterly Forecast (50%) and intra-quarter trending

  • Support the coordination of forecast inputs from various regions and business units, alignment of key assumptions and drivers
  • Prepare journal entries, reclasses, and accruals for month end close
  • Prepare various analyses that drive business insight and frame financial risks and opportunities
  • Perform variance analysis, and ensure an environment of no surprises for senior leadership

Process improvement / Ad Hoc Projects (10%)

  • Drive standardization and effective evolution of the company’s Hyperion-based financial planning system to drive efficiencies and meet business needs
  • Help automate standard processes and reporting to reduce reporting burden and increase sophistication and capacity for analysis
  • Assist with Microsoft integration work

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of FP&A experience
  • General Financial Skills:
  • Exceptional quantitative and financial modeling
  • Ability to thrive and multitask in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Able to vary work hours as needed to collaborate with global teammates
  • Able to work independently, with limited direction
  • Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at coordinating and consolidating inputs across multiple functions
  • The highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail in a dynamic, multitasking environment
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Hyperion/Essbase experience preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of general accounting and financial planning
