Job Description

Zinnia is a leading technology platform for accelerating life and annuities growth. The Manager of Global Vendor Management will ensure a well-run and organized vendor management function, tracking all activities and tasks to timely completion. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholder groups, managing vendor onboarding and risk review systems, tracking vendor spend, identifying process improvements, and producing standard reports. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and passionate about vendor management.

Must Have:
  • Track all vendor management activities and tasks and drive them to completion
  • Follow up on outstanding items in a timely manner
  • Coordinate all activities across each stakeholder group
  • Manage vendor onboarding and risk review systems
  • Ensure vendor onboarding is initiated and completed in a timely manner
  • Support business partners through the vendor onboarding process
  • Work with vendors during the onboarding process to answer any of their questions
  • Help track vendor spend across individual vendors, departments, and categories
  • Help identify opportunities for process improvement within the vendor management process
  • Help identify opportunities for spend reduction
  • Produce standard reporting to show status of activities, risks, turnaround time, and other key metrics
  • Ensure vendor information is distributed to all relevant parties at the appropriate time
  • 3+ or more years experience coordinating complex processes and ensuring all tasks are tracked and completed
  • 8-10 years of overall experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Supply chain management and / or Contract management
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and leverage them to manage activities
  • Ability to understand the nuances associated with managing each vendor’s unique contract
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams)
  • High attention to detail, resourceful, well-organized, and good time management
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams and adjust priorities as needed
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely and effectively communicate with a senior audience

WHO ARE YOU:

The Manager of Global Vendor Management will be passionate about ensuring we have a well-run and organized vendor management function. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and will ensure nothing slips through the cracks. You will ensure that all activities and tasks are tracked, reviewed, and completed in a timely manner. You will report to the Director of Vendor Management to support all activities of the vendor management organization.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Track all vendor management activities and tasks and drive them to completion
  • Follow up on outstanding items in a timely manner
  • Coordinate all activities across each stakeholder group that is part of the overall vendor management process (i.e., legal, risk, business, finance, operations, etc.)
  • Support the Director of Vendor Management
  • Manage our vendor onboarding and risk review systems
  • Ensure that vendor onboarding is initiated and completed in a timely manner
  • Support our business partners through the vendor onboarding process
  • Work with the vendors during the onboarding process to answer any of their questions and ensure the timely completion of their activities
  • Help track vendor spend across individual vendors, departments, and categories
  • Help identify opportunities for process improvement within the vendor management process
  • Help identify opportunities for spend reduction
  • Produce standard reporting to show status of activities, risks, turnaround time, and other key metrics
  • Ensure vendor information is distributed to all relevant parties at the appropriate time

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 3+ or more years experience coordinating complex processes and ensuring all tasks are tracked and completed
  • 8-10 years of overall experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Supply chain management and / or Contract management.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and leverage them to manage activities and drive tasks to completion
  • Ability to understand the nuances associated with managing each vendor’s unique contract and the sensitivity around who and how to communicate
  • Preferably experience working in vendor management or procurement
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills including advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams)
  • High attention to detail, resourceful, well-organized, and good time management
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Works to build effective relationships across the company
  • Detail-oriented and ability to manage multiple work streams and adjust priorities as needed in a deadline-driven environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely and effectively communicate with a senior audience in a high pressure, fast paced, highly collaborative environment with multiple deadlines and competing priorities
  • System experience in IronClad and/or Coupa a plus
