The Product and Services Delivery team of CAE Flightscape is seeking a Manager of Delivery Management to deliver world-class Crew solutions. This role involves working with a techno-functional team to implement and deliver Crew Manager, Crew Planner, and Recover Manager solutions globally, acting as a Subject Matter Expert, and training airline analysts for effective product adoption.
Must have:
  • Deliver high quality software: well-designed, efficient, and testable business rules code using ODM (IBM Operational Decision Manager).
  • Gather requirements from the customer or aviation regulatory body websites, interpret them into system requirements, document them, create and test scenarios and deliver the crew solution.
  • Be responsible for the timely delivery of solutions to multiple customers.
  • Work on high value (revenue) projects with large scale customer impact under limited direction and minimal oversight.
  • Exhibit in-depth knowledge and represent all customer and industry needs; lead and coach a team of subject matter experts.
  • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies.
  • Analyze Production logs & defects and recommend corrective action.
  • Think from a customer perspective and creatively solve real user problems.
  • Work closely with customers, both remotely and on-site, to train, extract and define business requirements.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to successfully implement Crew software systems within planned duration and budget.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the application’s user interface for solution adoption and integration into customer’s business processes.
  • Participate in IPA meetings & other project related workshops / meetings to understand customer's business processes and demo application functionality.
  • Test and document new releases and/or new or change functionality in modules.
  • Ensure that approved methods, processes, and tools are consistently used.
  • Demonstrate effective teamwork skills.
  • Timely delivery of solutions to customers and ability to market the product value to the customers.
Good to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience.
  • Aviation industry experience with knowledge or expertise in Crew domain.
  • Prior experience/knowledge on Cloud (AWS and Azure) platform.
  • Command of a second language.
  • DBMS: Oracle.
  • Other Tools: Java/Python/Angular/React/C++, Rally, JIRA, WinSCP, Putty.

The Product and Services Delivery team of CAE Flightscape is looking a motivated individual to join us as a Manager of Delivery Management to help us deliver world class Crew solutions.

Job description:

The candidate will be a members of a techno-functional team specialized in implementing and delivering Crew Manager, Crew Planner, Recover Manager and other airline operations management solutions / modules as part of the Crew suite for various airlines across the world. Manager of Delivery Management will also be the Subject Matter Expert on these solutions and will be involved in training airline analysts on the tools and ensure the product is adopted effectively and efficiently by the airline.

The holder of this position will be required to handle requirements to solve complex business problems using different technology and system views in one or more assigned functional areas of crew domain in addition to being a Delivery Manager for multiple customers and being a people manager.

Responsibilities:

  • As a manager of cross functional SCRUM team, the candidate will work with all team members on delivering high quality software: well-designed, efficient, and testable business rules code using ODM (IBM Operational Decision Manager).
  • Gather requirements from the customer directly or from aviation regulatory body websites, interpret them into system requirement, document them, create and test scenarios and deliver the crew solution to the customer.
  • Responsible for the timely delivery of solutions to multiple customers.
  • Work on high value (revenue) projects with large scale customer impact and showcase ability to operate under limited direction and minimal oversight. Display ability to delineate requirements to solve complex business problems using differing technologies and system views across multiple functional domains (within company and between company and its customer) on high profile and/or mission critical efforts and projects.
  • Exhibit in-depth knowledge and showcase the ability to represent all customer and industry needs; typically lead and coach a team of subject matter experts and help them to upskill.
  • Support continuous improvement

  • Participate in Interactive Pilot Assessment (IPA) meetings & other project related workshops / meeting to understand customer's business processes and demo application functionality as well as business rules scenarios to the customers.
  • Test and document new releases and/or new or change functionality in modules.
  • Ensure that approved methods, processes, and tools are consistently used.
  • Demonstrate effective teamwork skills.
  • The manager’s performance at the company will be evaluated based on timely delivery of solutions to customers and ability to market the product value to the customers.

Skills / Experience:

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience strongly desired.
  • Aviation industry experience with knowledge or expertise in Crew domain
  • Proven Analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of database concepts and working knowledge of SQL & basic understanding of Linux and Windows Platform.
  • Basic knowledge of Unix commands.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be organized and be able to multi-task and work in all areas as needed.
  • Prior experience/knowledge on Cloud (AWS and Azure) platform is an advantage but not required.
  • Proficient English written and oral communication skills. Command of a second language is an advantage.
  • Identify problems and be able to determine when appropriate escalation is required.
  • Must be willing to travel 20-40% of the time.
