Job Description

Morningstar is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, to advance its India People & Culture function. This role involves understanding employee needs, designing programs for a high-performing organization, and collaborating with leadership to enhance engagement. The successful candidate will drive initiatives aligned with business growth, facilitate key HR processes, and foster a positive organizational culture through people development, leadership, and internal communication. They will also serve as a coach and consultant, ensure legal compliance, and analyze data for decision-making.
Must have:
  • Understand business needs, dynamics and market insights to drive initiatives that resonate well to business growth
  • Collaborate with People & Culture functional teams to facilitate key People & Culture processes
  • Provide insight and suggestions to People & Culture functional teams for continuous improvement
  • Work with managers / Leaders to build high performing team and foster positive organization culture
  • Partner with global business partners to share and adopt best practices
  • Serve as a coach and consultant to managers and employees
  • Ensure legal compliance of People & Culture practices and managing employee relation issues
  • Ability to analyse data into insights that provide and aid decision making
  • Agile to pick up People & Culture projects as required
  • About 8+ years of experience in a generalist HR role
  • At least five years into Business Partner role and managing employee issues
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to plan, design and implement employee initiatives for employee engagement
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with leaders and get their buy-in on various employee initiatives
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and planning skill
  • Ability to influence and work together with cross-cultural and diverse individuals and teams
  • Mature, passion for dealing with people and a great team player
  • Experience of working through ambiguity and complexity to provide simple, expedient and practical solutions
Good to have:
  • Bachelor degree in behavioural science (OD, HR Management, and Psychology) or MBA with appropriate experience preferred

The People & Culture team, supports the development and growth of People by effectively chalking out initiatives in conjunction with business leaders and global teams. We aim to implement human resource strategies in India to improve organizational effectiveness.

Morningstar is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to help advance our India People & Culture function. In this role, located at Vashi, Navi Mumbai, you will understand employee needs, design programs and practices that assist in building a high performing organization and work closely with leadership team to enhance employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Understand business needs, dynamics and market insights to drive initiatives that resonate well to business growth
  • Collaborate with People & Culture functional teams to facilitate key People & Culture processes and communication to respective business team - eg compensation process, performance process, Talent review, etc.
  • Provide insight and suggestions to People & Culture functional teams for continuous improvement
  • Work with managers / Leaders to build high performing team and foster positive organization culture by contributing to areas of People development, leadership development, internal communication, organizational design and employee engagement
  • Partner with global business partners to share and adopt best practices
  • Serve as a coach and consultant to managers and employees
  • Ensure legal compliance of People & Culture practices and managing employee relation issues
  • Ability to analyse data into insights that provide and aid decision making. Create own dashboard as required
  • Agile to pick up People & Culture projects as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in behavioural science (OD, HR Management, and Psychology) or MBA with appropriate experience preferred
  • About 8+ years of experience in a generalist HR role out of which at least five years into Business Partner role and managing employee issues
