• Foster DevOps culture to ensure that applications can be built, tested, deployed, and monitored in an efficient and automated manner.
• Manage a team of 15+ engineers and responsible for delivery of product on-time with superior quality.
• Maintain and lead awareness of industry best practices and relevant technologies.
• Monitor trends in software engineering and development tools to influence the solutions for Vital Law.
• Understand capabilities and functionality of the platform and products to design and develop new features, modifications, enhancements to current products and tools.
• Participate in Code reviews, setting and implementing coding standards, hands on troubleshooting whenever required across different teams.
• Partner with cross functional leads and other stakeholders to design and develop modifications and enhancements to Vital Law.
• Coordinate with Product Management in all areas of development including planning, estimation, risk escalation, mitigation, delivery, and support.
• Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching/mentoring to direct reports.
• Produce high quality software and participate in continuous improvement to achieve higher efficiency.
• Mentor technical leads, senior and junior software engineers through formal and informal channels.
• Ensure that all operational and employee related escalations are properly managed and resolved.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (B.E. or B. Tech.), Computer Science or Engineering with equivalent credentials
• Master’s degree highly preferred

Experience and Skill set:

• More than 12 years of experience with a minimum of 8 years of development experience in modern UI SaaS applications using typescript, React.js, NodeJS and AngularJS.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience managing small to medium sized teams.
• Experience in working in agile teams using technologies like React.Js, Node.JS, typescript and different kind of datastores. Experience in Java or .NET or Python would be nice to have.
• Strong UI expertise, a deep understanding of frontend frameworks, and experience working with modern cloud-based applications
• Extensive experience using and managing GIT-based source control systems to drive continuous integration and delivery.
• 5+ years’ experience building cloud native applications.
• Extensive experience with agile development methodologies and processes required.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement.
• Strong strategic thinker: Ability to apply conceptual strategy, facilitate brainstorming, and direct day-to-day execution of projects through to completion with proven experience creating strategies that are executable through creative expression.
• Ability to oversee multiple complex project deliveries in parallel.
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience with GitHub copilot or similar AI code generation tool to enhance productivity
